I had seen some lovely images that had this kind of Eastern female in them. When the Daily Sketch forum came up with "Modern Day Vampire" for one of the themes, this came to mind. A gentle vampire who walks the earth willing to take only the very little she needs in order to coexist.
It was a departure for me in some ways and I was pleased with being able to maintin the simplicity of the figure.
Painted in Painter using custom brushes from acrylic, oil, pencil and chalk variants.
